Over the last four years, I said to friends repeatedly...
"You think their hypocrisy is funny now? Wait until Trump is gone and they think people are going to take them seriously again."

And just like that, on all of television and social networks, the Right is back to pretending they're the party of patriotism and respect for our service men and women.
In case you missed it, The National Guard troops that have been stationed at our Capitol Building since the traitorous and deadly insurrection against our nation, were horrendously displaced the other night.
According to what we know as of this writing, it was the result of a massive miscommunication.
Now, who is responsible for this happening still isn't quite clear, as everyone involved is pointing fingers in the other direction.
Regardless...
It left those who were protecting our Capitol Building after the most disgracefully treasonous event we've seen, sleeping in a parking garage, and that's simply unacceptable.
I can say with 100% certainty, I saw not a single person who was happy about this from my friends on the Left.
Hell, even the woman the Right all seem to hate and fear the most - Alexandria Oscasio Cortez - condemned it and offered up her office space for members of the Guard to sleep in.
Now, of course those on the Right rose up in phony righteous indignation!
This was their moment to remind us of their masquerade of patriotism, class!
Once again, they found an opportunity to use our service men and women as props in their charade; to weaponize them against the 'Anti-American Left'! (Fuck, that even makes me giggle just typing it facetiously now)
They were giddy as schoolgirls with a crush over this opportunity.
Once again, they decided how the Left didn't care about this, even though no one on the Left made any such noises.
But what they still don't understand is - their 'patriot' and 'morality' hustles are over.
It was death by a thousand self inflicted cuts for the last four years, and then the coup de grace was January 6th 2021.
You know, it's funny...
I've seen more outrage from the phony Right, about The National Guard being misplaced, than I did from them over the reason they're stationed there in the first place.
Oh, and if you forgot what that reason is, Trump supporters....the reason is you and Donald Trump.
You and your traitorous MAGA movement that fueled such hatred for our democracy - you know, the one that troops have spilled their blood for - this refusal to accept a loss, that you cheered on, or sat in quiet complicity for, with a deranged demagogue that is the first President ever to be impeached, not only twice, but for 'Incitement of Insurrection'.
That's in the books now.
See, so that's not just my 'know it all' opinion, that's historical fact.
But point is...
That's...all...you.
It ain't the Democrats that wear that Scarlet Letter.
In fact, let's all caps this since that seems to be your language of choice...
THE NATIONAL GUARD ARE ONLY THERE BECAUSE OF YOU!
BECAUSE YOU DID SOMETHING SO DISGUSTING THAT WE HAVE TO PROTECT OUR CAPITOL FROM IT'S OWN PEOPLE PULLING OFF ANOTHER TERROR ATTACK!
Did that register? You know, in your own...speak? I mean, I could have used the wrong form of 'there' to make it more authentic, but still.
So do you see now why we laugh at your phony bullshit?
Why didn't we see your 'moral outrage' over any of that?
You couldn't muster up the indignation for a single post?

Something that you told yourself makes you unquestionable; not interrogable.

We tried to tell you! We tried to warn you!

Why are you more upset that The National Guard was displaced, than you were when it was revealed that Trump knew that Putin was putting bounties on our soldier's heads, and then he didn't even have the balls to address it?
Oh, did you think we forgot about your silence then?
Did you think we forgot about the excuses you made?
The only thing more laughable than an open Trump supporter being angry about this, are the ones that pretend they 'don't have a side', yet somehow only make comments condemning things they think look bad for Democrats.
Do you really think people can't see through that?
Were you under the impression you were outwitting people?
I mean, if you're filled with outrage now, but we didn't see a single comment out of you on, or about, January 6th, do you not think that makes things pretty clear?
Do you really think you're fooling anyone?
I have more respect for open Trump supporters all day than the ones who know that alignment with him is ugly, and they know it's not something they want to be known as, so they pretend they're neutral.
But enough of that part.
So what did President Joe Biden do after learning of this terrible mistake?
He apologized to The Guard.
Even though reports indicated the breakdown that led to this was involving Capitol Police and The Guard itself, Biden took responsibility.
Just for fun, I'm gonna ask the question that we all know you don't really care about the answer to...
When did Donald Trump ever take responsibility for anything?
C'mon...just give us one example. Just one.
When did he ever apologize?
Especially when it was something that was deep below his chain of command?
Do you see how pathetic your ruse is yet?
I can't stress this enough; there aren't strong enough descriptors in our lexicon to convey this...
You're only fooling yourselves now.
